This day the March for the Climate took place. Seeing the new generations leave with a peaceful attitude in search of answers and strategies to face the problem of climate change, it really brings us hope in the life and care of our Planet.

It affects us all and concerns everyone. We believe that we must all express our concern about climate change and, especially, we Cuencans. We have indications that in the next 5 - 10 years, we will face a situation that we can now prevent. It is not in 100 years or in 20 years. We are at the doors of changes that will alter our lives. When all scientific associations and the most qualified climate experts give us a warning, it is not speculation or talk ... it is something serious and will affect YOUR LIFE. This Friday, 27, throughout the World (including our city), millions of young people, with all the right, turned their eyes to us, adults and especially to the authorities that have a direct responsibility regarding the actions to be taken , to ask us to do something. What are you going to do?

"Ernesto Arbeláez, a member of the Cuenca for Climate Collective, explained that this initiative brings together various citizen groups and young students from educational centers in Cuenca and that it is part of the global movement promoted by environmentalist Greta Thunberg."
“Cuenca is a city that does not have a climate agenda. We are isolated from these environmental actions and this is the wake-up call we give to the municipal authorities, ”said Arbeláez.
