Amaru participates in the National Validation Workshop of the Red List of Amphibians of Ecuador

Today, the National Validation Workshop of the Red List of Amphibians of Ecuador started, with the participation of specialist herpetologists from the country, among them the Biologist Fausto Siavichay Pesántez coordinator of the Amphibian Conservation Center of the Amaru Biopark will be generating the necessary technical contributions to promote the construction and proper validation of this red list with emphasis on the native amphibian and reptile species in the south of the country.
The workshop will be held until December 17, a space in which, in addition, the National Amphibian Conservation Action Plan of Ecuador and the training of researchers on the web platform for biodiversity management will be developed.
The Ministry of Environment Ecuador, UNDP Ecuador and the IKIAM University participate as co-executors of the workshop.
