 PARTICIPATION IN ALPZA CONGRESS - CUBA

Between May 29 and June 2, the XXIV Congress of the Latin American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums (ALPZA) was held at the Convention Center of La Habana - Cuba, an event attended by representatives of 12 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Cuba, the USA, Chile, Panama, Peru, Colombia and Mexico, as well as other regions of the world, where at least 300 professionals from the area attend the various plenaries, regional Inter-institutional cooperation on accreditation, conservation, sustainability, development of modern technologies and human capital formation.


Our executive and conservation director, biologist Ernesto Arbeláez participated in this important event representing Bioparque Amaru and the Ecuadorian association of zoos and aquariums AEZA, during the four days of congress experiences were shared and contributed to the updating and exchange of knowledge, Which promoted animal welfare and the development of educational and conservation strategies in institutions.
