2016-01-23

This past Friday, January 22, Amaru had their first meeting of 2016 with the National Working Group for the Andean Condor in Ecuador (GNTCA). It was held in the Imbabura province at Hacienda Zuleta. The meeting addressed issues of great importance in order to plan and promote actions, programs, and scientific investigations of this large, critically endangered bird.
Amaru was responsible for coordinating the actions needed to continue with the investigative program and tracking condors in habitats of the south. Additionally, Amaru was responsible for running an assisted reproduction plan for a new pair of condors that will be moved to Amaru in the coming weeks.
