# NiUnCóndorMenos on December 10 in the páramos of Salcedo, province of Cotopaxi, the body of the Andean condor Ami was found, a subadult condor marked with a satellite tracker that died presumably due to poisoning.
In Ecuador this species is seriously threatened with a population of approximately 150 individuals according to the data of the last national census conducted in August 2018. In the South of the country we have registered the presence of at least 28 condors in the territory. Let us become aware and be part of the responsibility that comes with having this valuable heritage that gives us important benefits and environmental services in favor of our health and survival.
