#Chile #ALPZA | Recognize excellence in conservation

"Ten years of collaboration, effort and motivation for the conservation of animals that do not enjoy the respect and empathy of society are summarized" - Carlos Martínez Rivera

"Our work has been recognized in the international community and that motivates us to do more and be better in our mission to help the conservation of amphibians in Ecuador." Fausto Siavichay

"It fills us with energy and motivation" - Ernesto Arbeláez

Santiago, Chile- Collaboration is the basis for conservation.
This was evidenced during the congress of the Latin American Association of Zoological Parks and Aquariums, which takes place in the city of Santiago in Chile.
One of the recognitions granted was to the Amaru BioParque, Amphibian Conservation Center and the Philadelphia Zoo.
After a decade of research, education and socialization, the project led by Dr. Carlos C. Martínez Rivera, conservation biologist at the Philadelphia Zoo, the biologists Ernesto Arbeláez and Fausto Siavichay, executive director and Project director at Amaru, respectively, validated the importance of the collaborative initiative that promotes and focuses on the conservation of critically endangered amphibians.
